Drug & Alcohol-Free Affordable Housing
An Environment That Supports Recovery
Don Ball Campus Center
The Don Ball Campus Center is the most recent addition to the Hope Center men’s campus. The Don Ball Campus Center is a drug- and alcohol-free efficiency apartment complex with 48 single-occupancy units. The building provides safe, affordable housing in a recovery-oriented environment so that residents can better focus on their work, families, and maintaining their newfound sobriety.
Residents have access to Hope Center’s employment, recovery, and social services programs as well as the Health Clinic. The Don Ball Campus Center also provides community rooms for Recovery Program classes, AA and NA meetings, Intensive Outpatient Program classes, and client events.
Hill Rise Place
Recovery Program clients who are ready to move back into the community benefit greatly from living in an environment that supports their recovery. That’s the idea behind Hill Rise Place and the Rouse House.
Hill Rise Place is a 40-unit efficiency apartment building that is operated in a drug- and alcohol-free, recovery-oriented environment. Residents, who are all male, have access to the Hope Center’s employment, recovery and social services programs as well as the Health Clinic. The facility has a number of amenities, including a community room for AA and NA meetings, a community kitchen, coin laundry facilities and an active tenant council.
The Barbara H. Rouse House
The Rouse House provides the same opportunity for women who have been through a recovery program. The Barbara H. Rouse Apartments is a 44-unit building next to the Ball-Quantrell Jones Center for Women. The building was opened in November 2010. The facility provides drug- and alcohol-free permanent housing to women in recovery and provides an atmosphere that supports their continued sobriety.
The Hope Center owes thanks for the funding of this building to the Rouse Family Foundation, a Neighborhood Stabilization capital grant awarded by the Kentucky Department for Local Government, and competitive funding from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati.
